Last Updated: [10/8/2026]

1. About this policy

DON DULCE PTY LTD, ABN 60 702 615 905, trading as Don Dulce (“we”, “us” and “our”), operates www.dondulce.com.au.

This policy explains how we collect, use, store and share personal information when you browse our website, purchase products, join our waitlist or mailing list, or contact us.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

·        Your name, email address and phone number.

·        Billing and delivery addresses, including a recipient’s details if you send a gift.

·        Products ordered, payment status, transaction references and purchase history.

·        Enquiries, feedback, reviews and information you provide when reporting an order or product issue.

·        Marketing preferences and records of your subscription or consent.

·        Technical information such as your IP address, browser, device, pages viewed and interactions with our website.

·        Information about interactions with our marketing emails, such as link clicks and, where enabled, email opens.

We collect information directly from you through checkout, forms and communications. We may also receive information from our payment, ecommerce, email and delivery providers, such as payment confirmations and delivery updates.

If you provide another person’s details for a delivery, please ensure you have their permission.

You can browse without giving us your name. However, if you do not provide information needed to process an order or enquiry, we may be unable to fulfil it.

3. How we use information

We use personal information to:

·        Process payments, pack orders and arrange delivery.

·        Send order confirmations, tracking updates and essential product notices.

·        Respond to enquiries and resolve missing, damaged or incorrect orders.

·        Investigate product quality concerns and contact affected customers where necessary.

·        Manage subscriptions and send marketing where you have consented.

·        Understand and improve our website, products and communications.

·        Detect fraud, protect our systems and maintain business records.

·        Meet legal obligations and resolve disputes.

We do not treat placing an order or accepting this policy as automatic consent to promotional emails.

4. Marketing and your choices

If you subscribe to our waitlist or marketing emails, we will use your details for the communications described when you signed up. These may include launch announcements, product news, offers, events and collaborations.

You can unsubscribe using the link in any marketing email or by contacting us at hello@dondulce.com.au. We will action your request within five working days.

Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop essential messages about an existing order, delivery, refund or product safety issue.

5. Payments

Our payment providers process payment details through checkout. We receive information needed to manage your purchase, such as payment status and transaction references.

Please do not send card details to us by email or social media.

The payment provider’s privacy notice explains how it handles the payment information you provide.

6. Service providers and information sharing

We share relevant information with providers that help us operate Don Dulce, including:

·        Shopify, which hosts and operates our online store.

·        Klaviyo, which supports our waitlist and email communications.

·        Pakco, our packing and fulfilment provider.

·        Shipping services, including Starshipit and Australia Post, to arrange deliveries and send tracking notifications.

·        Payment processors, accounting and inventory systems, IT support and professional advisers.

For example, fulfilment and delivery providers receive the recipient’s name, delivery address, relevant contact details and order information needed to prepare and deliver the parcel.

We aim to limit information shared to what is needed for the relevant service. Providers may also process information for their own purposes where described in their privacy notices.

We may disclose information where required or authorised by law, or where reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, protect legal rights or respond to a product safety issue.

7. Cookies and tracking

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the store, maintain your shopping cart, remember preferences and help protect checkout.

Depending on the tools enabled, these technologies may also help us understand website use, measure marketing performance and provide relevant advertising.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings and any privacy controls available on our website. Blocking some cookies may affect store functions. Unsubscribing from emails does not automatically change your cookie preferences.

Where applicable law requires consent for particular tracking technologies, we will request it before using them.

8. Overseas processing

Some providers store or process personal information outside Australia.

For example, Klaviyo stores customer data in the United States. Shopify and other providers may also process information through overseas operations and service providers.

We take reasonable steps appropriate to the services involved to protect information handled by our providers and meet any applicable obligations concerning overseas disclosures.

9. Security and retention

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information against misuse, loss, unauthorised access, alteration and disclosure. No online service can guarantee complete security.

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to fulfil orders, provide support, maintain required records, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations.

When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it, subject to legal requirements and backup retention processes.

We may keep a limited record of an unsubscribe request so we can continue to respect your choice.

10. Access, corrections and deletion requests

You can contact us at hello@dondulce.com.au to request access to information we hold about you or ask us to correct inaccurate details.

You may also ask us to delete information. We will consider your request, but may need to retain some information for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention or dispute-resolution purposes.

We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. If we cannot fulfil a request, we will explain why, subject to applicable law.

Any additional rights available under applicable privacy laws continue to apply.

11. Privacy questions and complaints

Please send privacy questions or complaints to hello@dondulce.com.au, explaining your concern and how we can contact you.

We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to provide a substantive response within 30 days. If we need more time, we will explain why and provide an update.

If you are dissatisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at www.oaic.gov.au for guidance about your options and whether it can consider your complaint.

12. Children

Our online store is intended for purchases by adults. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children for marketing.

If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, please contact us.

13. External websites

Links to external websites and social media platforms are governed by those services’ own privacy practices. Please review their policies before providing information.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or practices change. The latest version will appear on this page with an updated date.

Where required, we will provide additional notice or seek consent for a new use of personal information. Updating this policy does not itself create marketing consent.
